Spring is in the Air!!!

Hope you all enjoy the variety of pics. The pictures I post have no theme b/c I wait so long to post, so here they are...OMG Reagan has been saying some funny things here lately- thought I would share them with you all. I made homemade spaghetti sauce the other night and Reagan really liked it... when she was eating she said, "Mommy, this is delicious!" And we had sweet tea with our supper (Reagan's favorite, although we don't let her drink it very much.) This tea was especially sweet and she drank it and said, "mmm, mmm, mmm!" A true Southern Girl! My spaghetti sauce had chunks of mushrooms and green peppers in it. (Austin and Reagan aren't big fans of chunky sauce, but I love it!) So, Reagan came across a green pepper and said, "Mommy, what is this?" I told her what it was and she said, "Well, let's just put it over here..." and she slide it to the side of her plate! Like Father like daughter I suppose! :) Yesterday we had to take Cara Grace to the doctor- she somehow got pink eye. Who knows where... anyway, on our way I thought it would be nice to go to Starbuck's drive through. I got my change purse out and started counting my change to see if I had enough $ for a latte. Reagan said, "Mommy, whatcha doing? Counting your change for coffee?" She knows me too well and she's super observant! Oh and when we go through any drive through now, she always wants me to roll her window down so she can place "her order..." Yesterday when we were getting Cara Grace's eye drop prescription filled there was a local "redneck" in line behind us. (We were at the drive thru window. Which can be slow.) Well, the guy behind us was getting really impatient and finally squealed tires and went in to get his prescription filled. When he drove by us he was yelling cuss words. I thought what an idiot! A grown man getting mad for having to wait 5 minutes in line....Well, I told Reagan that we are surrounded by white trash living in Hudson. She said, "White Trash?" "White Trash, White Trash." I started laughing and she said, "That's funny! Mommy, is Daddy going to take out the White Trash!!!" LOL!! I love it! So, Reagan has been quite the character lately! She makes me laugh!
Everybody else is doing great! The weather here has gotten really warm, I love it! It's suppose to get into the 80's this weekend, wow! So, we will be playing in the yard a lot tomorrow. Soon it will be garden time- I can't wait! This year, I want to plant cucumber in addition to our usuals. So, until next time....

Lots to say...

Well, as usual it's been too long since my last post! Oh well, here goes....
Lately Reagan has become quite the daddy's girl. I guess since little Cara Grace has come along, I haven't had an over abundance of time with her. So, it's daddy to the rescue!!! A couple of weeks ago I had a lot of errand running to do several nights in a row. This left Reagan alone with her Austin for some "daddy/daugher" time. Since that week, she has been attached to her daddy. Now when she's tired and cranky she asks for her daddy! What? I couldn't believe it! But, I'm glad that she is developing a closer bond with him. Last night, Austin gave Reagan a bath. After her bath we sit her in the sink to dry her hair. I was out in the kitchen finishing up some dishes. It seemed like they were taking longer than usual and I didn't her anything. So, I went in the bathroom to check on them. I couldn't believe what I saw... Austin had my little spiral curling iron our making little tendril curls all over Reagans head. And she was loving it!!! I had to laugh! Austin was getting in tune with his femine side. But, I love it!!! He is such a great dad. He even paints Reagan's finger nails too!

Also, last weekend we FINALLY broke Reagan of her paci. I know what you all are saying...."Just now?" Yes, unfortunately she had been using it at night and naptimes. So, this past Friday we said enough! The first night for Reagan was very hard. She was like a druggy going through detox! She cried for about two hours and then fell asleep only to wake up a few hours later. I ended up sleeping in her bed that night. I guess for moral support. So, now, almost a week later she is doing much better! Last Saturday morn. I took our all of her pacis and Reagan and I cut the ends of them off. She was very sad but understood... (I think...)

Not much to report about Cara Grace. She is doing so well! She is eating like a little chow hound and sleeping very well. She is still getting up once a night to eat, but then will sleep until 9 a.m. So, I can't complain too much. She was 4 mo. old as of March 1st. I can't believe how fast the time goes! Cara Grace loves to smile and smiles all the time! She is a very content baby! She is also laughing now and is very ticklish. And she is starting to get better and better about riding in the car. She loves, loves, loves watching her mobile in her crib. She squeals very loud while watching it!

Reagan's Scissor Adventure

I just discovered today that Reagan has been hiding scissors in her closet for some time now. This morning she wanted me to open something for her and I told her to wait a few minutes and I would. (I was in the middle of changing the baby's diaper.) Well, she came back a few seconds later and said, "Look, I opened it!" So, I got suspicious.... I asked her where she got scissors and where she was hiding scissors. She opened her closet door to reveal a huge mess of things she had cut with her green, kid scissors. So, she had been hiding the scissors in her closet and going in there to cut things throughout the day. I've noticed she been quite content to play on her own the past few days- which is not like her. Some of the things she destroyed with her scissors included: crayons, (chopped into tiny bits in her trash can) ribbon, construction paper, a glue stick (how do you cut up a glue stick?) She also cut open a sample pack of baby shampoo and poured it all over our dog Minnie! And she decided to give her stick pony a mowhawk! And the pony's hair was all in her bedding. Well, at least she didn't think to cut her own hair! Thank God... So, this afternoon I got to vacuum out her bed before her nap. I guess Reagan takes after me b/c my mom said when I was little I used to scalp all of my barbies dolls... :)

Another funny story on Reagan- Last night she wouldn't go to sleep b/c she said there was a bug on her ceiling. ( I know I have made her bug paranoid!) So, Austin went in her room and killed the bug. About 5 min. later she was crying and saying there was another bug. Again, Austin went in her room and looked for a bug but he didn't see anything. So, he told her there were no bugs and to go back to sleep. She kept on and on about "the bug" and wouldn't settle down and go to sleep. Austin finally went in her room and picked her up and held her up to the ceiling and said, "Show me the bug!" Reagan got really upset and said, "No, no! There's a bug!!!" Well, she looked and looked and saw no bug.... So, she said through her tears- "There's no bug!" And then she went right to sleep! Funny stuff!

Valentine's Day Post

Well, I have no pics to post this time...I'll need to take a few for next week's post. Reagan had a Valentine's Day party at pre-school today and absolutely loved it. She is really into any kind of party. Aren't most kids? We made little treat bags to give away to all her classmates. She called the party her class was going to have a Valentine's Birthday party. I think she believes every party is some type of B-day party... who knows.

My grandfather passed away on Sunday. (My dad's stepdad) The funeral was today. It was good to see people I haven't seen in a while. But, my grandmother was very sad. My step-grandpa used to be the choir director of the church the funeral was held at...so the pastor chose to play a few hymns he had led back in 1984. Wow! I didn't realize he could sing so well. It was really neat to be able to hear him singing. - very moving. Austin, along with some other men, was chosen to be a Paul Bearer (sp?) He asked me what a "Pole Bearer" did b/c he had never heard of that before! :)
He had to sit at the front of the church to carry the casket in and out of the service. He was sitting on a row with all the other men and I thought, "Yea, he's definately the best looking, and he's mine!" :)....he looked sooo handsome in his suit!

We went out to dinner just the two of us Saturday night for our Valentine's Day dinner. Austin said it was a surprise. I asked him what kind of restaurant we were going to so I would know what to wear. He had made reservations at a pretty dressy place, but I guess he didn't realize how dressy it was. He had never eaten there before. I had, but it has been years ago. Anyway, he said he was going to wear jeans and a sweater. The only pair of my jeans I can wear right now have a few holes around the knee. They don't look bad, just very casual....So, I didn't know we were going to this certain restaurant, so I wore the jeans. HA! I was very under dressed. Luckly I could hide my legs under the table!! We had a lot of fun though. It's always good to get out ALONE! You'll never value your alone time more until you have children. And everyone said, "Amen!"

Enough of my ramblings. I will post some pics next time. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

My Cute Girls!

I know I haven't been the best about blogging lately. It seems myspace has taken up most of my time... myspace is addictive! :) So, I am pledging to blog more often! Here are some pics that I've taken of the girls recently. The top picture is of Reagan and Cara Grace having a tea party! - pretend of course! Cara Grace really enjoyed it. She loves getting attention from her big sister! She smiles and coos at Reagan all the time. Reagan got the baby doll in the pic for Christmas. It is really cool. It cries, laughs, and coos. So, I took a pic when Cara Grace and her baby were both crying and Reagan is holding her ears- very funny! She can't stand it when Cara Grace cries b/c she has a very LOUD cry. When she was born the doctor laughed and told us we wouldn't need a baby monitor! It is so weird, but Cara Grace hates to be in her car seat and hates riding in the car. Needless to say, we haven't taken any road trips with her yet. She is so good and content at home, but the second I put her in the car seat, she starts crying. She will stop crying in the car when we get up to about 50 mph, but starts crying again if you stop or slow down. Everytime I go to a drive-thru she is screaming. I went to the coffee drive-thru the other morning and the lady that worked there said, "Awww, your baby must be hungry!" I said, "No, she just hates riding in the car!"

Emily, I took a pic of Cara Grace in the outfit you sent us! It fits great now and she looks so cute in it! That was taken before the spit-up incident before we went to church one Sunday morning!

Anyway, Austin has been gone to Orlando for a big GoodYear convention. He is coming home tomorrow and I can't wait. Taking care of the girls w/o him is just plain hard work! Plus I just miss him!!! So, everything is good here. We all can't wait for warmer weather. It has been very cold here lately. I will be ready for Spring. Hope everyone is doing well!
Until next time...

No New is Good News, Right?

Ahh, I was just looking through some old pics on our computer and discovered this one taken of me like a year and a half ago. I am seriously liking my hair that short as it is in the pic- maybe I'll get it cut again soon? What do you all think? Oh, and to be that thin again would be really nice, but hey, I'm working on it! As of Jan. 1st, I officially started my exercise and weight loss program. Which is essentially a low carb diet with an occasional reward day. Which are usually Sundays. A "see-food" diet would be more fun though... ha, ha. You eat everything you see! Someone once told me that it is easier to gain weight than lose it... I'm beginning to think that person is crazy! I have been working really hard for a couple of weeks and have lost 3lbs. Oh well, that's a start. I must say, pregnancy the second time around has just left my body looking not so hot--but!!! Cara Grace is so worth it.

Not much has been going on here, just doing the mommy thing. This morning we all got ready for church- which to those of you who have children, know this can be a difficult task! Reagan woke up too early this morning and was grouchy like an old crab. Well, she likes to have warm milk in her sippy cup while watching cartoons first thing in the morning. So, she told Austin she wanted "cold" milk and to watch t.v. (A little side note, Reagan has the words "hot" and "cold" mixed up.) - The other day I went to check the mail and it was really cold so told Reagan to stay inside. She disobeyed and walked out onto the driveway barefoot and said, "oh! hot! hot! hot!" Pretty funny! :) Anyway, Austin forgot about this and really gave her "cold" milk. Well she threw a fit, so he spanked her and put her back to bed.... After several spankings, Reagan got happy. So, this is how our morning started. Things were going pretty well until we were all about ready to walk out the door and Cara Grace spit up all over her nice Sunday outfit. But, somehow we made it to church on time. Probably b/c I started getting everyone ready at 7 a.m. Church starts at 10:30 a.m! But, hey--Kids, you gotta love 'em!

New Year's Resolution...

I put these two pics up b/c our girls are so precious to us. They are our New Year's resolution- to be the best parents we can be-living for the Lord and letting him direct our lives. Oh, and of course I want to lose 15 lbs! :)

Last night Austin and I went on a date! It was great! We haven't been out just the two of us in
quite some time. We went dinner and a movie. (and did some shopping for Austin at his favorite store- Abercrombie.) I can't stand that place. It's so loud and dark. I must be getting old. But how can you see the clothes it's so dark in there. It reminds me of a night club. And the teenagers that work there seem as about as bright as rocks. OK, enough about that, but you get my point. Austin looks good in Abercrombie clothes though.... We went to go see the movie Rocky Balboa. It had a slow start but turned out to be really good. It had a lot of good, encouraging scenes. It made me look inward at my own life. Turning 30 in 2006 wasn't fun and I've been thinking about getting older. I asked my mom if I would get over this feeling and she said yes, but you'll feel this way again later in life. She said we all have to reckon with our immortality at some point in our lives. And she is right. It bothers me that time seems to pass so quickly. It seems like the older I get, the faster the years pass. Reagan is getting so big and Cara Grace is changing right before our eyes. But, this year, 2007- I want to make a vow to enjoy everyday, every minute. Life is too short to waste it on discontentment, bad attitudes, etc. Sometimes I feel like I'm not "doing" anything for God. But, I just need to look around at my family. Raising Godly children is my life's work for the Lord. Instilling in them the values of a christian life, a God centered life is my number one priority. If we as parents don't do it, nobody will. I don't want the world dictating to them who they are. Austin and I read this scripture together at the closing of 2006 and I wanted to share it with you all. You've all heard it before-

Rom. 12:2
" Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Isn't that good? Wow! It's so easy to be sucked into the way the world thinks. But, we are the salt and the light right? We must renew our minds with the word. I want to be right in the middle of God's will for my life always... And how do I make sure I am? By staying in the word, renewing my mind. The bible also says that in his heart man makes his plans, BUT God determines his footsteps. May we all be led by Him in 2007 and make the most of everyday, every minute. Time is so precious. Let's make the most of it for Him.

Christmas!

Here are some pics taken at various Christmas parties we went too over the holidays. We had an awesome Christmas.- Reagan especially! I think she liked opening the presents more than the presents themselves. Everytime she'd open a present she would say, "Oh Thank you! Merry Christmas!" She cried Christmas morning when there were no more presents to open. Can you say "spoiled?" :) And we took our decorations and tree down the day after Christmas and Reagan cried again. She kept asking where the tree was. Austin surprised me with a necklace this year. It is called the "journey" pendant- five diamonds curved in like an "S" shape. He did very well this year with my gift! Thanks honey!!! Austin being the huge David Crowder band fan- I got him some David Crowder guitar cord music and David Crowder's book "Everybody Wants to go to Heaven, But Nobody Wants to Die." It is a very different read but he seems to be enjoying it. I hear him chuckling when he reads it - it must be funny. He said it reminds him of how he and his brother Reid talk back and forth. Reagan's favorite toy is her Super Cycling Sara and Sam. It's a radio controlled girl on a bike pulling her dog behind. Our house is now filled to capacity with Reagan's toys! I had to go through her old toys to make room for the new ones! Sometimes I feel like our house is nothing but a big playroom for her! I don't know what we'll do once Cara Grace starts getting a lot of toys.

Trying Times of Motherhood

Oh, it's so much fun with two! HA! HA! Last night I got up with Cara Grace at 1 a.m and Reagan has decided to get up at 6 a.m. for the past two mornings. At nap time today, I decided to lay down with Reagan to catch a quick snooze. Just as I was falling asleep, she said, "O.K. mommy, you can leave now!" So, I thought, forget sleep, I'll just make a latte instead. Well, just as Reagan was getting into her nap Cara Grace decides to wake up and cry at the top of her lungs which in turn woke Reagan up! Ahhhhh! Maybe one of these days I'll be able to get them on the same napping schedule in the afternoons. Probably by that time Reagan won't be napping at all. So, after I calmed the baby down by feeding her, she spit up about half of her bottle right down my shirt and into my bra. That was such a nice feeling... So, today's been one of those days...

But, I did watch I really great movie the other night. It's called "Finding Neverland." - starring Johnnie Depp and Kate Winslet. At first I didn't think I'd like it but it turned out to be really good! I recommend anyone who hasn't seen it- to see it! It's not a new release, I think it came out in 2004. The music in the movie is beautiful and the it has a great story line. (But, it will never top "Walk the Line." I love that movie!) Supposidly it's based on a true story - of how the play Peter Pan came about. Reagan on the other hand is about to wear out the movie "Chicken Little." She has it memorized! Anyways, enough of my ramblings... Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Phillips Visit and other news...

Austin's family came to visit us the last of November. They got to stay for a whole week! We had a lot of fun. It was so good to be able to see them for more than a few days. I know I am posting these pictures late, but I've been so busy keeping up with two now! Cara Grace is doing awesome! She is such a good baby! She eats and sleeps a lot. She is now sleeping 7 to 8 hrs. straight at night thanks to the Baby Wise method I've been using. I love this book! It gives parents the freedom they need, -not having to worry about always rocking the baby to sleep and then two seconds later the baby waking up. This book helps parents teach their baby to fall asleep on their own. It encourages parents to put their baby in the crib while they're still awake. I love it! Anyway, it is really working for us. Cara Grace has been much less fussy since I've applied the methods I've learned from Baby Wise.

On another note, it has been an unusually warm winter here so far. This morning I was looking at the USA Today's weather map and saw that it is cooler in Phoenix, AZ than it is here! That is so crazy! It's hard to get into the Christmas spirits with it being so warm. But, I think it's suppose to cool down soon.

Last Monday night I had to go to the emergency room. I was having a lot of left kidney pain. The pain was so bad I told Austin we needed to go to the hospital. Well, after a cat-scan the doctor discovered that I had a kidney stone! I've never had one of those before and never want to have one again!!!! That is the worst pain I've ever had! I've heard people compare the pain to labor. Anyways, I passed the stone on Friday and feel much better now. So, last week was a weird, painful week, but praise God for his healing and protection! So, between the c-section and the kidney stone incident, I am glad to be feeling better! This holiday season I am thankful for my good health and my family. Sometimes we take for granted our health. Over the past couple of months I have come to appreciate more the blessing of good health!

Reagan's Boyfriend

As most of you know, Reagan started preschool this fall. She goes to First Baptist three mornings a week. There is a lady I am friends with whose grandson Ryan is in Reagan's class. I haven't been taking or picking Reagan up for about a month due to my surgery. Well, I went and picked her up on Monday and Ryan's grandmother told me that Ryan likes Reagan and talks about her non-stop. She said she saw them on the playground hugging. Some other kids were standing around Reagan on the playground and Ryan came over and pushed them all away and gave Reagan a big hug and she hugged him back. On Monday Ryan must have asked Reagan if she was going to McDonald's after preschool and she said yes. Well, I heard Ryan ask his grandmother if they could go to McDonald's. We went through the drive -thru and they went in to eat. Ryan's grandmother told me Wednesday that he was looking all over for Reagan. His grandmother said we must have changed our minds and maybe gone to Wendy's instead. He said, "Well then, let's go to Wendy's!" Wow! He's pretty persistant! And he's THREE!! I told Austin about Ryan liking Reagan and he said, "What? She's 3 1/2! And she can hardly talk! - How can she have a boyfriend!" Austin says when the girls get to be teenagers he will own many guns and polish them when their dates come over to the house!

Fun Times with our girls..

Today my mom and I took the girls to Kid Shots to get their Christmas pictures made. I love Kid Shots! They do such a great job at getting Reagan to smile and they have the best props. Reagan got to hold Cara Grace and they looked so sweet together. It was funny to watch the photographer. Reagan kept looking back and my mom and I and the photographer had a hard time getting her to look at the camera. So, she had to keep saying, "Reagan, look at me!" And when she wasn't trying to get Reagan to look at the camera, she was trying to keep Cara Grace's head from bobbing. But, the pictures turned out great! I can't wait to get them back!

I finally got to make it down to Babies R Us today. I love that store! I bought a book that I think will help us get the baby to sleep through the night. It's called "Baby Wise." I've read about half of it already and I think it has some really good ideas. I wish I would have know about this book four weeks ago. I would highly recommend this book to any new mom! It talks about putting your baby on a three hour schedule. The baby starts this three hours by eating, then they have an awake period, followed by a nap. Supposidly if you repeat this schedule throughout the day, your baby will soon sleep through the night. We shall see...

Tonight Austin and I discovered another way to ease Cara Grace's crying during her nightly "fussy times." - the vacuum cleaner! I fed her 2 1/2 hr. after her last feeding and she was still really fussy. So I tried rocking, bouncing, her swing, and pacifier. None of these things were working and she was still screaming. So, I've heard the vacuum cleaner works to calm down some fussy babies. I put her in her swing with her paci and turned on the vacuum. Sure enough she fell right to sleep. The only problem is when you turn the vaccum off, she wakes up! So, I am writing this blog while listening to our vacuum cleaner! Hey, at least we'll have the cleanest wood floors around! :)

December 3rd

Our sleepy little girl! Cara Grace is like most normal babies... she likes to eat and sleep- a lot!
This week however, she has been more alert and awake. Today she woke up at 8a.m. and didn't really take a long nap until 2 p.m! But, since then she's been sleeping up a storm. We finally went back to church today for the first time in a month. It was so good to see everyone again! I forgot how much I enjoy seeing everyone and hearing Pastor Keith's sermons. As we expected, most people were excited to see our new addition! And the praise team is missing Austin terribly. They haven't really had a bass player for a month. So, I think Austin is going to start playing again next week. The praise team gave us a really nice card along with a $50 gift! They told us to go out and treat ourselves... we are very thankful! We belong to such a wonderful body of believers! Thanks guys!!!

Cara Grace is pretty fussy at night- usually from about 7-10 p.m. see cries very regularly. But, we have discovered that if we put her in our infant carrier and walk around the house- she falls asleep and stops crying. I had the baby in the carrier at the dinner table on Tues. night trying to get a bit to eat. She had fallen asleep. I was eating a salad and accidently dropped a piece of lettuce with dressing on her head! But, she slept right threw it! It was pretty funny! The other night Austin wore the carrier for about an hour while standing up and bouncing. He said his knees were killing him. I was quite enjoying the break however! Needless to say we've been watching a lot of tv and movies at night while we rock and pat Cara Grace.

Tomorrow we go back to the doc. for her one month check-up. I can't believe she is already a month old. Time goes by so quickly. Before we know it, she'll be up and getting into everything. I am sure she has gained weight. It will be interesting to see just how much.

Reagan is adjusting to having her new sister around. Although, sometimes she is a little jealous and gets tired of hearing her cry. One morning I was bathing the baby in the kitchen and she was throwing a major cry tantrum like she always does and after a couple of minutes of non-stop screaming Reagan yells from the living room -"Help Me!!!!" I thought my sentiments exactly!! Another time when Cara Grace was upset in her swing Reagan was sitting at the kitchen table and took the baby's pacifier off the table and purposefully threw it in the floor! So, we have had numerous "talks" about why babies cry and how we deal with it!

More Baby Pics

Just some more pics of our little Cara Grace! I had forgotten how much work a newborn can be. Cara Grace is a good baby and sleeps most of the time still. But, it is still a lot of work! Especially when I have a three year old to look after as well. We all had a good weekend together. Austin is a huge help when he's home. The baby kept us both up most of the night last night. So, I took like three naps today to catch up. She seems to have her days and nights mixed up a bit. Hopefully that will change. Babies change
so quickly! I want to cherish every moment and every day with
b/c I know before I blink she'll be three like Reagan is. Reagan
was very fussy and difficult as an infant. I look at her now and
think, "Wow, things have sure changed!" No matter how much
work babies can be I look at Reagan and think it is definately all
worth it!!!!

Finally Pictures!

Reagan and her baby sitting in the
glider rocker at the hospital.

We think Cara Grace looks a little like Reagan did
when she was born. But, they both look very
different as well. I think Cara Grace is going to
look more like me. She has really light eyebrows
and lighter hair than Reagan. Her eyes are blue
but not a clear blue yet.

Proud Daddy and his little girl

Today we took Cara Grace back to the doc. for a weight check and she has gained 5oz. since Sunday! She is back to her birth weight and then some. She is a good eater! 0-3 months clothes are just now starting to fit right. She is more petite than Reagan was when she was born.
I am recovering very quickly from the c-section. I am able to get around and do more and more everyday! Mom has been staying with us and has been a great help. I will miss her when she goes home again. Cara Grace already has herself on a schedule at night. We get up to feed her at 1, 4, and 7 a.m. Hopefully she cut some of these out soon. But, her feedings are very predictable now, so that's good! More news to come...

Cara Grace is here!

Our little bundle of joy arrived here on Wednesday, Nov. 1st at 7:37 a.m.
She weighed 7lbs. exactly and is 20 inches long. The c-section went really well. I wasn't as nervous this time since I knew what to expect. I did get a little sick from the spinal block I received and was throwing up on the operating table. - which was very nerve wracking. But, that soon passed. All the staff and nurses at the hospital were great! I couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Cara Grace is doing well. So far, she is such a great baby!!! She sleeps alot right now. When she is awake, she is very content and doesn't cry very much at all. She does not like to have a bath of course and doesn't really care for her car seat. Reagan loves her new baby sister and wants to feed and hold her. We are trying to make her very much a part of all we do with the baby so she'll feel included. Reagan is a big help to me. She throws away the dirty diapers and says, "Yucky!!"

I have been recovering quickly and feeling better each day. We have tons of pics to post and will hopefully post them tomorrow. Sorry the news has been slow coming. It has just taken us a few days to get adjusted and feeling better. More news later....

Last Pregnant Pose...

O.K. This is so everyone can see how BIG my belly is!!! This was taken yesterday. I know I am very brave to put this on our blog. I hope you all don't think I look too different! But hey, after Nov. 1st I can only get thinner. I am looking forward to that!

Pumpkin Carving

Last night Reagan and Austin carved a pumpkin. We thought we would celebrate Halloween this weekend b/c the baby will be coming Wednesday and we won't do much the night before. Reagan didn't really get into carving the pumpkin as much as Austin did. And when he finished carving the face on the pumpkin, Reagan was a little afraid of it. - surprise, surprise! :) So, we put a candle in our pumpkin and set it out on the poarch. We had a lot of fun this weekend. We tried to make it a special one b/c this was our last weekend with just Reagan. I love my family so much and look forward to welcoming Cara Grace in a couple of days!!

Fun Pics

My sister Beth and my nephew Kendal at
his football game. Kendal is quite the football
player. He isn't afraid to tackle and take
down even the biggest opponents! At their
first practice last season he hit two boys so
hard they didn't come back! :)

Reagan posing in her Strawberry
Shortcake sunglasses. Sometimes
she can be such a ham!

Mom a.k.a. "Dorder" - This is what
Reagan calls my mom. Mom wants to
be called Grandmommy, but somehow
Reagan came up with the name Dorder
last year. It's so funny! This is a picture
of them at the Dinosaur exhibit we went
to last Friday. Reagan got to look for
dinosaur fossils in the dirt.
